I wasn't even sure I was going to be able to log in. I was sure I wouldn't remember my password but alas, I remembered.<br />
I just had a wonderful time reminiscing while reading my past posts. It was fun being reminded of activities the kids were involved in and things we did as a family.<br />
<br />
Facebook and Instagram have been so much easier to post to, and these pictures have most likely already been posted there when the events happened. Oh Well!<br />
<br />
Since my last post in Aug 2014, a lot has happened. Here are just a few highlights; Kaelyn started Kindergarten, we spent Christmas in Utah and surprised the kids with a trip to Disneyland and California Adventure, took the little ones to Legoland, Shelby graduated from High School, took a family vacation to Hawaii (minus Samuel & Cameron), Cameron got engaged, had all the kids home for Christmas and Shelby started her Freshman yr. at BYU-I.<br />

Where did our summer go? <br />
I'd like to think we had a fun summer, although we didn't go on any family vacations we did have fun spending time with each other.<br />
<br />
We enjoyed a week at Fort Benito's Cub Scout Day Camp. This was Kendall's 2nd yr. and I volunteered as the Athletics leader, Shelby volunteered in the kiddie corral and Kaelyn went along as a kiddie corral attendee. It was a long and busy week, but very fun! The highlight was the family picnic at the end of the week when all of the different dens shared skits or songs.<br />

Kendall turned 9! He is a huge Lego fan and has also started getting into Pokemon. I made him a Lego table but I have decided that it is too small and he needs a bigger one, so maybe for Christmas.</div>

So here I go at another attempt to update the happenings of our family.<br />
<br />
We have been back in our own (rented)home now for 8 months and it has been great! We are so thankful for the jobs that James and I have so that we are able to be where we are now. Since my last post, our Bankruptcy was finalized. and now we are working on building back our credit.<br />
<br />
Samuel was able to come home from BYU for the Christmas break and it was just wonderful having us all together. We dipped chocolates, went to the movies, played at the beach and were even able to have a real family photo taken.<br />

Now that we are in our own place it has been nice being able to do the daycare gig in my own place. I am way more productive at home, so my house isn't being neglected. Kendall is able to ride his bike to school and I am always here when he gets home. As for Kaelyn, she loves having kids to play with every day!</div>

Shelby has been very busy with school. She is in her junior year and enjoys it very much. She is on the improv team, the drama club and just finished performing in the school play: Bye Bye Birdie. She also had a lot of fun this past weekend at Mormon Prom. She is growing into such a Beautiful young woman and we Love her tons. She isn't driving yet, but she has been cleared by her Neurologist to get her license. So, when she gets a minute she will begin the process.<br />

This Summer it will have been four years since our last family vacation (minus Samuel he was on his mission or away at school). For Spring Break we took a road trip. We drove to Idaho to take Cameron back to BYU-I. It was such a fun vacation. We were able to play in snow, see cousins, aunts and uncles from the Wright side of the family, go fishing, see waterfalls, swim and see 5 Temples. We had such a great time! Long drive but so much fun!</div>

Well, I guess I'm all caught up now. I have said it before and I will say it again, I will try to be better at posting but I am not making any promises :) It seems to be easier for me to just do quick posts to Facebook but this blog is more of a journal so I should be better at posting here. Especially since the kids are getting older and growing up so fast. I need to try to document for myself so that I can remember the fun times and the tough times that we have shared as a family.</div>

With the money from the house James started a solar company with 2 others only to have the company taken away from him in a lawsuit the following Spring. The last of our money was spent on lawyer fees to defend us and to have the lawsuit finally settled. But the hurt and anger are still there. No matter how much I have tried to forgive and forget, it hurts that one of the parties involved hasn't acknowledged any wrong doing.<br />
<br />
Anyway, with bills to pay, a son on a mission in Paraguay and 4 children still at home to support, it was getting difficult to make ends meet. James was taking any and every consulting job that he could and still worked on other new company ideas, but without a steady paycheck money was very tight. We had already cancelled gym memberships and satellite tv, we didn't go out to movies or dinner, vacations were out as well. We were fortunate to have wonderful family and church family that helped pay for Samuel's mission.<br />
<br />
Eventually we lost our health insurance, which was scary because Shelby is an Epileptic and takes medicine daily to keep her seizure free. Right about the time that her last refill was filled I was able to sign the kids up for health insurance with Healthy Families.<br />
<br />
In 2011 we were told by our landlord he was selling the house, we had to move. Without a steady paycheck and our credit score now suffering because of late payments we were concerned if we would be able to find and be approved for another place to rent. We found another house and were approved just days before we had to be out of the other house. A month after we moved in, Samuel returned from his mission.<br />
<br />
The plan was for Samuel to return to BYU in the Fall. Well, plans change. He got a job and differed his enrollment until Winter semester. It ended up being a blessing having him home. He was a great support to Cameron when he ended up coming home after only a month from his mission. <br />
<br />
Meanwhile, James continued to look for a real job, while also pursuing other business ventures. We were struggling financially still and had to rely on others for help. We discussed filing for bankruptcy with our Priesthood leaders and family members, but always felt that we would have a job soon and we'd be able to make it on our own. Plus we didn't want a bankruptcy to hurt our chances of getting a job or a home to rent. But it was always on our minds.<br />
<br />
In April of 2012 our landlord called to tell us the owner would be moving back into the house and we had 30 days to be out. I was able to convince the landlord to let us stay at least until the kids got out of school in June. So, on my birthday we moved. This time we sold a majority of our furniture and put the rest in storage and moved in with James' family in Hollister. Our plan was to be there only 3 months. Again, plans change.<br />
<br />
James was still applying for jobs. It was very frustrating when a recruiter would call him and love his resume, just to have the hiring people say he was overqualified. This happened time and time again. Thankfully I was offered a job, and since it was for childcare in the family's home I could take Kaelyn with me and still be home for Kendall after school. <br />
<br />
In January of this year, Samuel was able to finally go back to BYU and continue his education. The job that he had here moved with him to Provo, so he is on his own and supporting himself. I am so proud of him and thankful that he has this opportunity now. <br />
<br />
After applying to well over 200 jobs (just this yr alone), and taking a class to help boost his resume, James got a job in July with a consulting firm, working at Cisco. We were so excited! Our plan of only living with family for 3 months actually turned into 15 months. We are eternally grateful to them for supporting us for so long. Labor Day weekend we were able to move into our own place. We had hoped to go back to San Jose, but because of our poor credit we were turned down for the rentals we wanted and were nervous that we wouldn't be approved by anyone. Then I found a house in Hollister and went and talked to the landlord in person and explained our situation. I guess she took pity on me, she approved us! We are so happy to finally be in a home of our own again.<br />
<br />
With James now employed fulltime and our family settled in a new home, we decided we needed to go forward with the bankruptcy. So we went through the process to file chapter 7. Which included a 3+ hrs of an online bankruptcy class. We went to court on Tuesday. Our debts have now been "discharged".<br />
<br />
This was a very difficult decision for us to make. But in the end decided it was in the best interest of our family. We strongly believe in paying our debts but in our case it wasn't working. We tried our best, we were on hardship programs with our creditors. But we couldn't keep borrowing from family and friends. <br />
<br />
We are grateful to all of our family and friends who have helped our family throughout our difficulties. We are grateful that we have this New Beginning!<br />

It was such a wonderful day! Being in the Temple with my boys was such a special experience and I loved every second of it. I know that I have said it before and I am going to say it again. I am so proud of my boys and for their willingness to serve missions. They are great examples to me.<br /><br /><div><br /><div><br /><br /><div><br /><br /><div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5656742999549941170" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj4NKi4NnHN-UCGObrdkCA0FVE6JwvlkB8KEgkx0OlMRWrFTA8wDgw1pbUjdad_MbhyphenhyphenIMkEvgZsV5JazFjw7CDDjSuujbQJyUbMlE7YuiAJ3dYcVumZZRlxudkyfrrn0AVPlAyp4ONsi0w/s320/004.JPG" /> On September 3rd some very dear friends of ours hosted an Open House for Cameron. He called us from the airport. I loved getting that call. He is going to be a Great Missionary, I have no doubt. He has already had a great example in Samuel, his older brother whom he looks up to so much. I look forward to hearing from him in his weekly emails. I will try to be better at posting about his mission here, but I am a slacker so be patient with me.<br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><div><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div>Lori Wrighthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10616378420314621211noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2259618192887758776.post-36591087746938985682011-06-25T11:01:00.001-07:002011-06-25T11:39:30.799-07:00Cameron's Mission Call<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgkJE1llRcKwxRC9NaaKhaTSKigl8BFE5R4o20tDa46xeuHgnUSbLMUdq0N66bnBTqO4b3VgpIXhPc1MdbTMma-Fevay0TymOObdvq76gWxApQU6MAiQTQ2SeW47SSmR6li_6-alspByzI/s1600/008.JPG" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgkJE1llRcKwxRC9NaaKhaTSKigl8BFE5R4o20tDa46xeuHgnUSbLMUdq0N66bnBTqO4b3VgpIXhPc1MdbTMma-Fevay0TymOObdvq76gWxApQU6MAiQTQ2SeW47SSmR6li_6-alspByzI/s320/008.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5622219432884579026" /></a>This is pretty much how Cameron spent his days after submitting his Mission Papers. If he wasn't inside waiting for the mail to drop in his lap, he was outside stalking the Mailman. I was happy when he finally started his job and wasn't home to wait anymore.<div><br /></div><div>So here is the story of how Cameron had to wait and why.</div><div><br /></div><div>His papers were successfully submitted to Salt Lake on May 3. Normally calls are received in about 10 days. So we expected his call very soon. Each day that went by and there wasn't a call, Cameron became more and more discouraged. Friends of his began getting their calls and he was still waiting. We decided that his call was taking longer because we moved and Salt Lake didn't get our current address in time. After a few phone calls and e-mails to the Stake President and Executive Sec. and a trip to the post office, we found out that his call actually left Salt Lake on May 31st. and was sent to our old address but that it should be forwarded. We were then told that if it doesn't arrive by June 13th it will be resent. The 13th came and no call, so I called our contact and let him know. Apparently he was out of town and didn't get the messages I left, so on Sunday June 18th Cameron talked to the Stake Pres. at Stake Conference and he took care of it. The next morning Salt Lake was informed that Cameron hadn't received his call, so they resent it and he got it on Wednesday the 22nd almost 8 weeks later.</div><div><br /></div><div>The wait is finally over and we are so excited that Cameron will be serving in the New Mexico Albuquerque Mission. He enters the MTC on September 7th. We are so proud of his choice to serve a full time mission.</div><div><br /></div><div><br /><div><br /></div><div><br /></div></div>Lori Wrighthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10616378420314621211noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2259618192887758776.post-23801838973089339842011-04-07T15:43:00.000-07:002011-04-07T15:48:51.958-07:00Samuel's Weekly E-MailI love getting Samuel's weekly e-mail's, and since it has been forever since I have posted anything here I have decided to post Samuel's e-mail from this week. He is an amazing young man (I know, I am a little biased) I hope you enjoy this letter as much as I did.<div><br /></div><div><div> <p class="MsoNormal">During his talk at the end of the Conference, Elder Holland invited us all to reflect on the miracle that is General Conference, and it took me back. I remember dozens of Conferences spent at home, playing with Legos in front of the TV screen until my dad said it was "time to stop playing and listen to the prophet." I do not remember a single thing that President Hinckley said in any of those General Conferences, but I remember that when the Prophet of the Lord spoke, my family listened. <o:p></o:p></p></div> <div> <p class="MsoNormal"> <o:p></o:p></p></div> <div> <p class="MsoNormal">I remember receiving the Aaronic Priesthood and therefore going to the church with my father and later my brother to watch the Priesthood Sessions of Conference, and soon as they said the final Amen, running out to be first in line for ice-cream. I do not remember more than one or two of the talks delivered in sessions such as these, but I Do remember the brotherhood I felt with my fellow Priesthood bearers, ready to receive instruction by the Spirit.<o:p></o:p></p></div> <div> <p class="MsoNormal"> <o:p></o:p></p></div> <div> <p class="MsoNormal">Now I am older. I've experienced more. I've felt the Spirit in ways or to levels I never had thought of before. And I wait in anticipation for the Conference, preparing questions that want answered. I root through the Ensigns and Liahonas stacked in our apartment, searching out the Conference issues. I hang on to every word uttered by those men ordained of God inspired to chastise and build me up. I scribble notes of the modern scripture coming from the pulpit and any inspiration that the Spirit distils upon my soul.<o:p></o:p></p></div> <div> <p class="MsoNormal"> <o:p></o:p></p></div> <div> <p class="MsoNormal">General Conference really is a Miracle. I know that Thomas S. Monson is the duely ordained Speaker of the Lord Jesus Christ on the Earth. I know that the First Presidency and Quorem of the Twelve are just as qualified as were the Apostles of old to be witnesses of the Living Christ to a world hungry for the truths of Heaven. I know that this is not the church of men. I decided to sum up his Senior Year in a slide show. We are so proud of him and all of his accomplishments. Now that he is finished with school, he will be working until he leaves for BYU-I in January. Enjoy the slideshow. <br /><br /><br /><br /><div style="TEXT-ALIGN: left; WIDTH: 400px"><a href="http://www.slide.com/pivot?cy=bb&at=un&id=2233785415201479398&map=1" target="_blank"><img border="0" src="http://widget-e6.slide.com/p1/2233785415201479398/bb_t028_v000_s0un_f00/images/xslide1.gif" /></a> <a href="http://www.slide.com/pivot?cy=bb&at=un&id=2233785415201479398&map=2" target="_blank"><img border="0" src="http://widget-e6.slide.com/p2/2233785415201479398/bb_t028_v000_s0un_f00/images/xslide2.gif" /></a> <a href="http://www.slide.com/pivot?cy=bb&amp;at=un&amp;id=2233785415201479398&amp;map=2" target="_blank"><img border="0" src="http://widget-e6.slide.com/m/2233785415201479398/bb_t028_v000_s0un_f00/images/xslide9_1.gif" /></a> <a href="http://www.slide.com/pivot?cy=bb&at=un&id=2233785415201479398&map=F" target="_blank"><img border="0" src="http://widget-e6.slide.com/p4/2233785415201479398/bb_t028_v000_s0un_f00/images/xslide42.gif" /></a><embed style="WIDTH: 400px; HEIGHT: 320px" name="flashticker" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" align="middle" src="http://widget-e6.slide.com/widgets/slideticker.swf" flashvars="cy=bb&il=1&channel=2233785415201479398&site=widget-e6.slide.com" wmode="transparent" salign="l" scale="noscale" quality="high"></embed></div>Lori Wrighthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10616378420314621211noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2259618192887758776.post-78133555112559976662010-03-11T14:04:00.001-08:002010-03-11T14:39:18.146-08:00Samuel's new friendsIn Samuel's e-mail this week he sent us pictures of some of the little critters he and his companion have found in their apartment. I would not like to find these guys in my house! I guess he is going to have several encounters with unwelcome guests while serving a mission in Paraguay. <a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiIMtir6QYnW6wgl0egr9AZLyVUZCWMUVgxyFRg6quKRkAq6qV_jNU38N-EAp2FdfheZDVkDunf4ttEwHS0CaUnmFB-e9FTcBpmtkI4wuitMwFxeAUezthj9Jau3DD_FG5B-ZcB8RrB2I8/s1600-h/critter+1.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5447501379464028626" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiIMtir6QYnW6wgl0egr9AZLyVUZCWMUVgxyFRg6quKRkAq6qV_jNU38N-EAp2FdfheZDVkDunf4ttEwHS0CaUnmFB-e9FTcBpmtkI4wuitMwFxeAUezthj9Jau3DD_FG5B-ZcB8RrB2I8/s320/critter+1.jpg" /></a><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiwTsyGCRfR2ZYWSEbv_mqz6qswgu92vXhE_YWZvTy5E1tbWcT5FVY8B0605KpuyIgHtdwOaRvUW8geRGZcwUt7y_WsN7IG4c6-YMZV0LEM-F8XJCiLJJdlhySVVG-n-l7xPse090SSuSM/s1600-h/critter+2.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5447501366185842482" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiwTsyGCRfR2ZYWSEbv_mqz6qswgu92vXhE_YWZvTy5E1tbWcT5FVY8B0605KpuyIgHtdwOaRvUW8geRGZcwUt7y_WsN7IG4c6-YMZV0LEM-F8XJCiLJJdlhySVVG-n-l7xPse090SSuSM/s320/critter+2.jpg" /></a><br /><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgpJGcYdEiOYvgOVvS_BosykRs-6Rv7n8YztXWobqwQRs7owu_-w6SHri-ScnObD_D8UifLLOgsiy2c1WTkcoK8gmlPWzSlr_mswRE7V2gmYbpyXifhwZPRdqQpkjImoH06Fi_tV260ouI/s1600-h/critter+3.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5447501354816932194" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgpJGcYdEiOYvgOVvS_BosykRs-6Rv7n8YztXWobqwQRs7owu_-w6SHri-ScnObD_D8UifLLOgsiy2c1WTkcoK8gmlPWzSlr_mswRE7V2gmYbpyXifhwZPRdqQpkjImoH06Fi_tV260ouI/s320/critter+3.jpg" /></a> He is really enjoying his mission. He and his companion, Elder Swink get along great with each other. They have a couple of investigators that they are working with, and they have a baptism scheduled on April 3 for 3 women. One of the women, the grandmother, told them that she had a dream where she is wearing all white while standing in water next to a man with long hair and a beard. The work is moving forward and he loves being a part of it. I love getting his e-mails and reading about what he is doing. He has grown so much spiritually since being on his mission. I am so proud of him.</div></div>Lori Wrighthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10616378420314621211noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2259618192887758776.post-33643073911933043632010-02-03T10:47:00.000-08:002010-02-03T11:22:14.229-08:00Samuel's Birthday Surprise!<div><div>It doesn't matter how many times I say it, I just can't believe my oldest is 20! Samuel had a birthday on Monday. I was sad that I didn't get to talk to him, but I went ahead and made his favorite meal for dinner: Enchilada's. In his e-mail to us this week, he said that his birthday was great! He got a phone call from the Mission Presidents wife wishing him a Happy Birthday and then he received his Christmas package that we sent in November along with two others from an Uncle and a friend. I was so happy that he finally got them. On Tuesday, he attended the Temple, and while there he met a couple from Livermore, who were in my ward when I was a youth. What a small world! We love our Missionary and are so very Proud of him!<img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 300px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5434098227044677538" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjfx2VKJDm96YHIg4I5pw6nJzjvUSLPtXQneZ1ERczFc60fl0jpRTSXwNlYDfeT6mTmMlWKwqMoM7kE9gAEbhHW7Z9xpZ1ZBJOALy_J5KTDGtHlUEXtMozTRLeEUtO0BBWfB_9CccyP_mI/s320/samuel+baptism.jpg" /></div></div><br /> Samuel's first baptism (Oct.)Lori Wrighthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10616378420314621211noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2259618192887758776.post-22032790317900188392010-01-31T19:49:00.000-08:002010-01-31T20:14:19.168-08:00Happy Birthday Kaelyn!<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjBDaysEAxGCyzqX2czVAj5K79hdmCmG-2KNNCBYdfu8MGP_-b5DS2EuWgb01CU6nts957WKdSl0BhkWoiPa8PQiAVpIusBbj5bUmo2a_y-NF2U3x5kfaTv-wV_1uxnydTOYgh7oo7HZkY/s1600-h/046.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5433117849396145986" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjBDaysEAxGCyzqX2czVAj5K79hdmCmG-2KNNCBYdfu8MGP_-b5DS2EuWgb01CU6nts957WKdSl0BhkWoiPa8PQiAVpIusBbj5bUmo2a_y-NF2U3x5kfaTv-wV_1uxnydTOYgh7oo7HZkY/s320/046.JPG" /></a><br /><div>I can't believe it has been a year already. Kaelyn was sick for her birthday, but she still enjoyed her cake! Kaelyn weighs 21lbs. 13.6oz. and is 30 1/2 in. long. She has been walking for two months now. Some things she enjoys are: Peek-a-boo, Patty-cake, being in her swing, facing forward in the carseat, playing with anything that Kendall has, and dancing to the ABC song!</div><div> </div><div>We have totally enjoyed our little Kaelyn! She is so much fun! I am so happy to have her in our family, she makes us complete! He did a great job! He sang songs from Chicago, Shrek the Musical, and Spamalot. The video below is not easy to see but you can hear what an Awesome job he did. He looks so comfortable when he is on stage and has a lot of fun! <a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgfEpGG0aYzSX7_3fx95j4w3AErXRY_qYhjPcYlEnZnspot5XKX_LQ7LsAlGywK9LT0m4CgHrJReVc8OLi2alIYxpHVcjs-SP3UTHGHzB6kBdxjxo2M0MlpMfEjcmPqlUQ-AWN5KzswCrA/s1600-h/006.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5426850370474899442" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgfEpGG0aYzSX7_3fx95j4w3AErXRY_qYhjPcYlEnZnspot5XKX_LQ7LsAlGywK9LT0m4CgHrJReVc8OLi2alIYxpHVcjs-SP3UTHGHzB6kBdxjxo2M0MlpMfEjcmPqlUQ-AWN5KzswCrA/s320/006.JPG" /></a><br /><div><em>"The Song That Goes Like This"</em> Spamalot</div><br /><p><iframe allowfullscreen='allowfullscreen' webkitallowfullscreen='webkitallowfullscreen' mozallowfullscreen='mozallowfullscreen' width='320' height='266' src='https://www.blogger.com/video.g?token=AD6v5dzVMaaE3wPT23lQManOqVVuuR5-Vx0wYwV6ueQLPTdLNitTs14RUm4aVhwFSOqHCDQr2Ot8AN8MyZsk1WfGUg' class='b-hbp-video b-uploaded' frameborder='0'></iframe></p><p>He roams the stage like a star, like he belongs there. It's fun to watch. Even if he weren't our son, we'd want to see him. Perhaps the most entertaining part of the show is watching how the other students look up to and are entertained by him.</p>Lori Wrighthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10616378420314621211noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2259618192887758776.post-17789433700549493462010-01-05T10:45:00.000-08:002010-01-05T14:25:03.401-08:00Happy New Year!!<div><div><div><div><div>We had such a great 2009! A lot happened and I hardly blogged about any of it. So, this post is a re-cap of some of the things that happened in the Wright home:<br /></div><div> </div><div>We started the year off with the final addition to our family, Kaelyn. She has been such a joy! She started taking steps at 9mos., now at 11mos. she is walking and loving it, she is just trying to keep up with Kendall.<img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5423342986282255650" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgBrYNOEybjd8Coy319gGbx3mCAqc1NFvYZjc69h9SteHNUaj_5tnZVU6VIhxUj8raZCv2dpeY6Yrwxrsm2sFw7-m72BkHh4L8yBP5U7dE5D1ZPkzscFkpOVANmEdxmAMo-IgA3xBRbBeY/s320/009.JPG" /> </div><br /><div>In April, Samuel came home from BYU and received his Mission Call to the Paraguay Asuncion Mission. He entered the MTC on July 22 and left the MTC on Sept. 21. And arrived in Paraguay on the 22nd of Sept. He loves being a missionary! It is so fun to read his weekly e-mails and hear about his experiences and to see how much he has grown spiritually. It was great to talk to him on Christmas Day. He is such a great example to all of us!<img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 215px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5423339590037486818" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEigut-bCoxoCeBaDgrFqynEE-ysTt7-s9REDmFVTY9kt533dY9aStnleJdabg2KFZJQjcwVfgcn72M2JT0a4BpNHUwtyjwgd8i0s-4pKSK72X80nIqSrYHKPYAJE4nPBFdQWLoWWt8yp_k/s320/Samuel+%26+Mission+Pres..jpg" /><br /></div><div>Cameron has been in a few plays this past year. He has been in Footloose, The Crucible, and Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. He has become quite a good singer! He had solos in Footloose and Willy Wonka. Besides the plays, he is still playing Lacrosse, he is the VP of the Senior class and he was on the Homecoming Court. He stays very busy!</div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5423348248292574050" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjvHiSfsogXUt1hyphenhyphenLIrpv3p5r9rnnwcoWxSaHX40UinWsv6LRInkmA2GnrooenS-JZYAHzWsPdLTy9crHugTuWMM9ZdaF0Uea7CcR4mNkG5Em0ECtBI4r1L9uraK_BuGGU-CMGU-gIWxk0/s320/018.JPG" /><br /><br /><div>Shelby turned 12 in July. She has moved up to the Young Women program at Church. She celebrated her birthday at Girls Camp. She has maintained straight A's in school and enjoys being in the Band playing Flute. She marched in the Veterans Day Parade and the Holiday Parade in Nov and Dec. She has become such a beautiful young lady.<br /><br /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5423340527906691154" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg3c4f0YdvQlSPR3QxM_GrLzvoKDpL_sUsoVtCrh5a20HBigUtF3U9OhgdYhODjyldOt-No5US5BgIfGrBYLD4fRDNWOJrU9boUmcboz-OsaDfrXniwX8oI9vmQmq3JyAeWUk5kcZKLnCg/s320/IMG_2205.JPG" /><br /></div><div>Kendall loves being a big brother to Kaelyn. At first when we brought her home from the Hospital, he wasn't too sure about her. He wanted her to go away! But now, he is so cute with her, and her face lights up when she sees him. These two little ones are definitely keeping me young!<br /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5423344668708362946" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjb0Lc_Rl-YUeMdIoofRIPWG1aroPGx_Z7se8uH6qlNZleUaFYE2f2lCPWe3rpTkV7bHhq2tpEu167yFJsBXtGte1NTVHHfJk3maXRIRgUqf37oHDZOhBqVy2TfrLWiaYLiAqL_DtovpMU/s320/010.JPG" /><br /></div><div>In June we put our house up for sale. It was very sad, but necessary. In Sept. we accepted an offer and closed on Oct. 16th. We were very fortunate to find a place to rent in the same area so that the kids could finish school and we could stay in our Ward. The house we are in now is a lot smaller than what we are used to but it works for us. Kendall still asks if we are going to get our big house back when we are done with the little one:)</div><div> </div><div> James is now employed once again! He is working in the renewable energy industry and is just as busy as can be. We are so grateful for the work he has and that 2009 was a great year for our family. We have truly been blessed and look forward to what 2010 has in store for us!</div><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><div></div><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><div></div></div></div></div></div>Lori Wrighthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10616378420314621211noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2259618192887758776.post-78112161314683315132009-11-09T10:32:00.000-08:002009-11-09T10:41:35.978-08:00Cute StoryWe have been making a recording to send to Samuel. At dinner or just hanging out we set up the recorder to record our conversations and talk to Samuel. Last night at dinner we had it on and asked Kendall if he wanted to say anything to Samuel. He was a little confused, we told him to just talk. Anyway, the phone rang and James was talking for a minute and then hung up. Kendall started crying and said he wanted to talk to Samuel. He thought that it was Samuel on the phone. I started to cry when I saw how broken hearted he was that he couldn't talk to his big brother. I am really looking forward to Christmas so that we all can talk to Samuel on the phone!Lori Wrighthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10616378420314621211noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2259618192887758776.post-80923874503733983972009-10-29T14:41:00.000-07:002009-10-29T15:25:26.113-07:00The Crucible<div><div>Last weekend, Cameron was in the play "The Crucible" at Branham. He played the role of John Proctor. He had a very intense part to play. He wasn't very nice either! He cheated on his wife and he had a very bad temper. He got to push girls around and grab their hair. I was not proud of his character, but I was very proud of Cameron for his performance. He is another great actor in our family! In the end he is repentant. He shows a broken heart and a contrite spirit. His final scene was incredible, many were brought to tears by his confession. Cameron was excited to be on the Homecoming Court. He acted like it was an embarrassing thing to be nominated but I could tell he was happy about it. After all this was something that Samuel had never been before. At the game Friday night, the King and Queen candidates were escorted by a parent of their choice, during halftime. I was the lucky one that he chose. The kids were each given a box with a rose in it. They were told to wait until everyone had their box and the announcer would have them open them all together. The ones with the white rose were the King and Queen of Branham High 2009.<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhfPsLnSlbLH-9HGQc8eZ0nXPtWfkyHwviIOLnaMlDziyrdihG_FzBSXqNbnvLnY-iZ7NK170qlrQqfHduGCZ493MwfDEI3fzNZmTIyubaQ_L2_oYxy83dEe3jM6eJRR6jCcAypLShjwCI/s1600-h/002.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5386568443569866770" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhfPsLnSlbLH-9HGQc8eZ0nXPtWfkyHwviIOLnaMlDziyrdihG_FzBSXqNbnvLnY-iZ7NK170qlrQqfHduGCZ493MwfDEI3fzNZmTIyubaQ_L2_oYxy83dEe3jM6eJRR6jCcAypLShjwCI/s320/002.JPG" /></a> <div>This is the medal that the Homecoming King candidates were given. I am super excited but the mother in me is nervous. I can't help but to worry about him getting there safely. I just got interrupted while writing this post . Samuel just called from the Salt Lake airport! Of course, I started crying, but I composed myself pretty quickly! He sounds great, he is anxious to get there! There are 19 of them flying to Paraguay together. I guess I can stop worrying now. He said that the pay phones weren't being cooperative, but there was a Ward Mission Leader there so he let Samuel use his phone to call home (thanks Bro. Smith). He has a lay over in Texas and from there he flies to<br />Argentina and then to Paraguay. He said that he will call back when he gets to Texas:)<br />These are just a few of the pictures Samuel has sent home so far. I am hoping that he sends pictures often so that i can post them.<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhag9aqDe7pw0cH9LuksP6ZqvfFwPsuZewTDHzCdeo3og3T8TLDHz1scFJDjYjtcfSXiFmt8P07RI_tXuNxV8hXrKixHRU9Y_XYhVe5UZOv-F2do5cFWxnjAhh0snPMibIY6nv-3TGaJ70/s1600-h/scan0001.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 213px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5383961366717340386" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhag9aqDe7pw0cH9LuksP6ZqvfFwPsuZewTDHzCdeo3og3T8TLDHz1scFJDjYjtcfSXiFmt8P07RI_tXuNxV8hXrKixHRU9Y_XYhVe5UZOv-F2do5cFWxnjAhh0snPMibIY6nv-3TGaJ70/s320/scan0001.jpg" /></a> Study time<br /><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj17S5CGP0WPGLykA8cv5rLXBO1EzE1fxIDbKe7XhaucxPSMBp2ZvgRvjd-oiQqlzSTg30QDeHw6KOiFnXbr2YC6FAsvvguqW4r5-VEjAaeZxx8K6Yf0tbbDKc_x-Zr-gtfMivSAahL69g/s1600-h/scan0003.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 213px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5383961206917945090" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj17S5CGP0WPGLykA8cv5rLXBO1EzE1fxIDbKe7XhaucxPSMBp2ZvgRvjd-oiQqlzSTg30QDeHw6KOiFnXbr2YC6FAsvvguqW4r5-VEjAaeZxx8K6Yf0tbbDKc_x-Zr-gtfMivSAahL69g/s320/scan0003.jpg" /></a> Taking a pic of himself in the mirror<br /><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiVeNus9I8qQ9_qmibQVbYwwUTmVPu0dn7jhdY3rdVwskGqOKMnPvpocI2d-fXaLVU8uRWHwB6ozuljV6AVOx1zbf_6cg32FNmjGY-tSqXxM9YpHPJRqTvcpEiyBY6GyAW5DO_5tY4JJwI/s1600-h/scan0002.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 214px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5383961202767382274" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiVeNus9I8qQ9_qmibQVbYwwUTmVPu0dn7jhdY3rdVwskGqOKMnPvpocI2d-fXaLVU8uRWHwB6ozuljV6AVOx1zbf_6cg32FNmjGY-tSqXxM9YpHPJRqTvcpEiyBY6GyAW5DO_5tY4JJwI/s320/scan0002.jpg" /></a> Elders Ison, Batistich, Wright and Lau<br /><br /><br /><div>I am so happy that I got to talk to Samuel today:) I thought this might be an emotional day for me with him actually leaving the country today. So her doctor had us start adding formula to her cereal and supplementing my breast milk with formula. Her weight in July was only 13lbs. 12 oz. She went from being in the 52% for weight down to 14% for weight. Now a month later, I am happy to report that she has gained 3lbs. We had a weight check appointment with her doctor today. Poor thing can't! She was born with a short frenulum, or in other words, she is tongue tied! She is having it clipped as soon as Kaiser gets back to me to schedule it. In the mean time Kendall will keep trying to get her to stick it out.<br /><br /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5340985571759282578" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgtT2TdvJDZyb3I0ews_TOPqVrbCGboBgcz75QonT3JBA5_VJ5G8qIfuDUUGqQOSIYMvCoXzEpBujDE_qKQWM82X8ek14s3Zy1_0DqOtdhxcCDJyhF75zicfnQ31wsjutQwh3DMmGCsw8I/s320/CIMG3222.JPG" border="0" />We have totally enjoyed these first 4 months with Kaelyn and look forward to watching her grow! Although, I do wish that she wouldn't grow so fast! I love to sit and cuddle with her, she is my last baby and I want to hold on to her a little bit longer. They grow way to fast for me.Lori Wrighthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10616378420314621211noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2259618192887758776.post-80299313961139974402009-05-01T12:37:00.000-07:002009-05-01T13:15:52.567-07:00I Hope They Call Me On A Mission!!It's official! Samuel's call came yesterday and he was so excited! He had been waiting for the mail every day since getting home from BYU! He waited until we were all together to open it.<br /><br /><p><em>Before watching the video be sure to turn off the music below.<br /></em><iframe allowfullscreen='allowfullscreen' webkitallowfullscreen='webkitallowfullscreen' mozallowfullscreen='mozallowfullscreen' width='320' height='266' src='https://www.blogger.com/video.g?token=AD6v5dzsjeIz0BftPShx6TAXn3Ztsd2uFTSWdaFm4mJX3yLnphkKNTHKv0Q2UTCzHWHaBP_eFzMF1iXyDuumGgaxpg' class='b-hbp-video b-uploaded' frameborder='0'></iframe>If you can't hear the video, because of the crying baby, he has been called to the Paraguay Asuncion Mission. He enters the MTC on July 22. This is the same mission that his cousin returned from last year. </p><br /><p>We are so happy and excited for him! I am also happy that he will be speaking Spanish. Where has the time gone? These next couple of months are going to fly by getting him ready to go and then the next two years will probably feel like forever for me. I am so proud of Samuel and the Man that he has become! </p>Lori Wrighthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10616378420314621211noreply@blogger.com6
